Steady Hands

Then came Am'alek and fought with Israel at Reph'idim. (Ex 17:8)

And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Am'alek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand."So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Am'alek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. (Ex 17:9-10)

Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Am'alek prevailed. But Moses' hands grew weary; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat upon it, and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. (Ex 17:11-12)

And Joshua mowed down Am'alek and his people with the edge of the sword. (Ex 17:13)

The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love (Zephaniah 3:17).

His right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God. (Psalm 98:1,3)

Say to those who are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you" (Isaiah 35:4)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith (1 John 5:4).

The Gateway

A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not pass over it, and fools shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away (Isaiah 35:8-10).

In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God (Isaiah 40:3).

GATE

This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it (Psalms 118:20).

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture (John 10:19)

WAY

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left (Isaiah 30:21).

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6)

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way (Psalm 25:48).

Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways (Psalms 128:1)!

PRAYER
Make me to know thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long (Psalm 25:4-5).

Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD (Psalms 118:19).
